It had a guy jogging down the street, presumably on Jan 1st, while in the background ATMs are spewing cash, planes are falling out of the sky, traffic lights are flashing randomly, and other chaos. Then it had a tag about new years resolutions. That commercial made it all worth it

It doesn’t happen all the time. I’m currently on an Android 14 device and it seems to happen sometimes when the screen rotates to vertical. Sometimes toggling the orientation by rotating my phone sideways and back fixes it, sometimes not. It’s very inconsistent.
Navigation buttons covering the Voyager UI is an Android/Voyager bug. It has happened on my last two phones.

Every line of dialogue and reaction was shot with a centered medium close up, with the character facing straight at the camera. If the dialog didn’t start like that they cut to it by the end. It was making me uncomfortable.
Other than that I thought only a couple of the jokes landed and generally I didn’t like it at all. My young son said he liked it, but I’m not sure. Him and other kids in the audience seemed to be getting restless in the first third or so before they went back to the Minecraft world. He didn’t really go on about any of the movie, and while we have made references to it I’ve mostly been the one to initiate. I think he just liked the idea of a Minecraft movie and going to the theater more than the movie itself.
