How is St Denis? I watched the first few episodes when it came out, but couldn’t really get into it. There were some funny parts but I felt like a lot of jokes were reliant on someone being familiar with the medical industry, which I’m not at all. Either that or I was unfairly comparing it to Scrubs subconsciously.
I got tickets to their St Patrick’s Day show this year for me an my daughter. She’s 11 and it will be her first concert. I can’t wait!
Howie and Jeffrey have always been good about dropping locker room poisoners. If they had no problems cutting TO and DeSean for their distractions, I find it hard to believe they’d keep AJ around if it’s as bad as the media makes it seem.
One of the biggest ones I’ve corrected is taking an active role in their education. My parents would get so mad at me when I got bad grades. I’d constantly get grounded and told you can do better, or literally slapped up the side of the head. But my parents never asked me if I had homework or tests coming up.
If I asked for help with my homework my dad would talk down to me and be like, why don’t you get this. It took me running away from home at 15 to finally get sent to a doctor and low and behold get diagnosed with ADHD.
My wife had a similar, but thankfully a less physical situation. Her mom would ground her if she got a bad grade. But she got straight A’s outside of math, so it obviously wasn’t for lack of trying. But no offers to help or asking what was wrong just you got a bad grade your grounded until your next report card.
Anyways, all of that is to say, I stay involved with my kids school work. Not to a helicopter parent level, but I check with them daily if they have homework, and make sure they know they can come to me if they need help. I remember the first time my daughter failed a test, I didn’t yell and she didn’t get in trouble. We sat down at the table and reviewed it, and made sure she understood it by the end of the night.
Both of my kids get wonderful grades and I reinforce to them that their hard work is what got them those grades, and reward them for it. Not punishment for bad grades.

I never cared for Kellen Moore because I thought he relied too much on gadget plays. Man do I miss him now.

Fuck the critics. This show is a fun good watch. It’s low brow and simple but you know what it’s one of the few shows that makes me actually laugh out loud. It doesn’t take itself seriously, at all, and it’s a great comfort watch.

She is such a creature of habit I have to take her down the street at 3:45 pm on weekends. Because that’s the time we meet my daughter at the bus stop during the week. If I don’t she just keeps spinning around in circles in front of me.
Mrs Brown’s Boys - I was just scrolling through Brit Box and came across it. I had never even heard of it, and just picked it on a whim. I’ve only seen the first episode, but it had me and my wife rolling with laughter. I hadn’t laughed that hard at a show since the first time I watched IT Crowd.
My wife’s eyes started to roll before I even gave her the punch line. Well done!

Why does this read like a pip requirements.txt?
I built a new PC from the ground up a few year back. Every morning when I would sit down to start working I noticed it had rebooted around 6:30 am. I searched through every single log, ran all sorts of hardware scans, checked power outputs, dug through everything in Task Schedulers, and could not find a single reason it would keep rebooting. There were no Event Logs showing the reboot was initiated and no minidump files so it wasn’t a BSOD.
I woke up early one morning and sat in my office waiting for it to reboot and nothing. The next morning I go in my office at 8 and it had rebooted. Some mornings it would reboot and others it would not. I was convinced it had to be my power supply and was about to order a new one.
Then I came downstairs right at 6:30 one morning and caught my son walking out of my office. Turns out he was going into the office every morning and holding down the power button and forcing a reboot because liked watching all the RGB light turning all at once when it would turn on.
Only my wife and daughter are graced with the opportunity to pet her. I’m only allowed to let her sniff my finger.
I only feed her, house her, and scoop her poop
