Kristen Schaal - I absolutely hated her in 30 Rock and that just stuck with me. But I’m starting to come around since What We Do in the Shadows. I also never had a problem with her voice acting.

That is way too nicely built. For the true Gen-X feel you need cinderblocks and plywood.
The man smoked 3-4 packs of cigarettes a day, so that’s all you could smell. Thankfully we didn’t have to sleep there. My parents would have us stay at the motel/grocery/gas station/bar/restaurant/video store/boat rental/fish license place in town.
My wife was home sick one day and I started to feel sick so I left work early. For some reason I don’t remember why I came in the house through the front door, when I normally came through the garage. Upon hearing the front door open at a random time of the day and being very protective of us especially when sick, my borde collie came running out of the bedroom growling like I had never heard her do before with teeth showing. The second she realized it was me she stopped and came over for pets.
That’s good to know. She for sure has the husky undercoat. When she was a puppy she feels into the pool when it was 20° out. I took her to the vet to get her checked out and they told me she was just fine because of the undercoat.
The only reason we went so short is because we are moving to Connecticut and our new house is in a very wooded area. So ticks are a real threat. Since we don’t have a lot of experience dealing with ticks we decided to cut it short so we can better see them.
Of course she is on Frontline but still didn’t want her giving them a ride back into the house with all her fur. Once we get settled and are able to assess the property and hopefully get some tick defense stuff in place, we’ll let it grow out again.
I’ll be sure to keep an extra eye on her when she’s outside. She’s such a cold weather dog that she sits in the shade almost exclusively unless it’s the dead of winter. But that is in Texas. I’m sure she’s going to love Connecticut.
Also, since it always comes up, she was found on the streets so we don’t know her back story, but had her DNA tested. She is:
The Husky and German Shepherd Dog come from Mom. Dad was everything else.
Reminds me of my hermit uncle who used to clean the beer cans off of his floor with a rake before we would come visit.
This is me with unsaved files in VS Code. Every so often I’d go through and try to clean them up but it stayed around 150 files. I got a new laptop a couple of weeks ago and I’ve slowly crawled back up to about 15-20.
The red nub on IBM/Lenovo laptops is far superior to a touchpad
I absolutely hate the package management in it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found a cool python project, downloaded it from GitHub then tried to install requirements. And it turns into a huge nightmare of trying to find compatible packages. It’ll be like you need wheel v3.1.0 so I try to install that,.then it’s like no you can’t do that because it’s not compatible with numpy v79.84.1 that you have installed. So then you search and try to find which version is compatible, then install they go to install wheel again,.and it’s like no you need pandas,.so you install pandas but it like sorry I’m not compatible with the version of numpy you installed.
I cancelled whatever HBO is calling their streaming platform now and signed back up for Hulu.
Finally watching the final season of What We Do in the Shadows
Also, restarted King of the Hill for probably the third or fourth time.
This season series has been great, bruv
I do a monthly newsletter at work. I collect the stuff for the newsletter in an Excel sheet. I normally end up with around 12 items or so. But that makes my Excel sheet stop on line 13 because of the header row. So I’ll add 2 more things. Because if I just add 1 then it will be 13 entries. So my newsletter will have less than 11 or more than 14 entries. I don’t know why, I don’t care about the number 13 anywhere else in my life.
A couple of years back I fell asleep at like 8 PM and slept through to 6:30 AM. Then I fell back asleep around 8 or 9 and slept until noon. When I woke up I didn’t feel tired at all. This had been the first time I felt like that in I don’t know how long
Might as well throw some Artax memes in while we’re at it
I was watching Best of the Worst from Red Letter Media, the episode where they watched Blood Debts. My wife walked in the room to give me a kiss before going to bed, right when she leans over, lips puckered, ready for a kiss, Mike’s voice breaks through and we both here, “faced with a strong desire to watch a Filipino rape film.” She just freezes, gets this look on her face, and starts cracking up, which then made me start laughing. It was one of those situations where each of our reactions kept making the other person laugh harder and harder.

I tried watching ALF not too long ago. It didn’t really hold up. It was just okay. The humor felt flat and one note. I grew up watching it and even the nostalgia vibe didn’t keep me interested. Golden Girls on the other hand will still have me cracking up every episode.
I loved HIMYM when it was airing. I feel like people gloss over just how bad the entire last season was. After watching that show from day one I quit halfway through the last season, with the intention of just binging it once it was done. Then I heard about the ending. It was such a guy punch that I will never rewatch it, not even the early seasons. I’m sure that is why it doesn’t have the staying power of shows like the Office and Parks and Rec that you can watch over and over.
About 15 years ago I did some work with a large international pharmaceutical company with over 2,000 of offices across the world. There was a laptop in an empty cubicle with signs like this on it. Apparently if it turned off their entire email system would go down.
