  • Loving how the pro-violent bullfighting folks are acting as if it bans the whole thing. /s Shit would just ban the killing and maiming parts along with time limits for the bulls. If anything it seems like not being allowed to spear the bull would make their sport much more skill based. Like it is more impressive to deal with a pissed off/stress out bull that has no say in the matter. It seems that even if it wasn’t done now, that the younger gens that already don’t like it would be doing it once they are in power.

  • They mention that he might have been having a mental health crisis. Given the massive amount of various branches of pigs present. I am shocked that he is alive. Main point being that there is no excuse for literally everyone that has been murdered by pigs while having mental health episodes (especially when they showed up after a relative/caregiver tried calling 911 just to help them for explicitly for a mental health crisis). So many people murdered because pigs are taught to “fear for their lives” above everything. Still shocked that one of them didn’t panic pop a round and set off just everyone (again like we see so often).

  • On a more serious note. All the “chaos” being caused by Musk, Trump, and all of the rest means that all leftist orgs, parties, and even just individuals should be going in hard to win hearts and minds now. If the empire is going to hand us such perfect chances, then we should be taking any and all of them. So many of the libs are going around speaking of “organizing” but will just keep allowing the next cycle and further embolden the far-right/fascists.

Not calling for adventurism shit. But the contradictions of what the centrists/libs are coming back on them faster and harder than any time in my life. Their leaders have been shown to care more about finding reasons to never use power than to do anything they speak of to the masses come every election cycle. The masses that are sympathetic to stuff leftists talk about, but fear sudden change are now having to deal with it anyway.

I may just be dumb and overly hopeful in what some of the shit happening can be turned into. Would rather get razzed on here for it, and at least know I can learn from it.

  • I saw this comment and took time to read it. Shit is perfect for the use-case you mention here. I even learned more than I thought I would. So double win in my book! Such levels of decentralization for practical purposes makes sense with a nation as large as China. And does seem to give a reasonable example of why China’s model is more quickly able to have adapted to major changes globally and internally than what the USSR system turned into.

“One size fits all” is not practical in countries over a certain size (both in landmass and population). Even in the US we see huge federal level approaches end up gutted to the point that the name of the bills/laws don’t reflect the names given. What makes sense for a mega city like NYC or LA tends to be completely wrong for the large rural areas/regions.

The article showing that China very much has “states’ rights” makes it easier to show how a socialist system in the US could very much work (and pokes many holes in the propaganda of “authoritarianism” of the central gov we are taught). Also that China’s socialism is actually much more bottom-up than top-down.

  • I am hoping that Iran and Russia can get strikes going hard and fast to help inspire the official forces to keep going. Shit all is coming after Bashar al-Assad spoke of inaction in supporting Palestine resistance and stopping the genocide. Kind of reminds me of Gadhafi trying to wake up people about needing to stand against western imperialism and then being murdered by US backed rebels.

I am also hoping that the Kurds start merc-ing all ISIS prisoners that have been forced on them to hold indefinitely. Shit is already really fucking bad. The faster that internal threats are dealt with the better for their zone, and allow focus on repelling Turkey and other factions that will most certainly turn attention their way.

  • Not a good thought to have. But I am kind of thinking that the Kurds in Rojava might need to really be ready to deal with (just straight up kill) the ISIS prisoners that they have been left forced to keep since all the nations from which many of them came from have refused to take back. If those fighters are allowed to get out, shit will be a bloodbath (especially the female Kurds). Which given how Israel and western powers have been using right-wing groups to keep the region destabilized. I can only guess that keeping such concentrated numbers of ISIS in the area is the plan if the current groups fail.

  • The idea of bailouts for any large corp/bank in the US is bullshit full-stop. The US government’s constant and ruthless attacks on AES and really any other nations that nationalize such large and crucial companies show why bailouts shouldn’t happen. All the companies/banks that were massively bailed out in 2008 (or any other time) didn’t have requirements that money had to be paid back (with or without interest).

We saw how the rich fucks and their bootlickers took that money and enriched themselves while purging real working people and no pay rises for workers that were kept. For a nation that cheerleads how fucking beautiful and superior capitalism and free markets are. The idea of rewarding huge corps for over promising and fucking it up while keeping the barriers up from smaller or new companies is also fucked. It shows that the true final form of capitalism is private for-profit companies removing all functionally meaningful competition and being monopolies.

Which is basically what all cyberpunk dystopian media depicts when showing huge mega-corps that wield the power of nation-states over even the actual nations they operate within. Shit like this is one of the most obvious examples as to why systems like the US can’t actually fix issues and huge depressions caused by big corps. The moment that any private (both publicly and privately traded)/for-profit company is allowed to be labeled as “too big to fail,” it is time for that company to be nationalized and placed under similar control as corps in places like China.

Should also require that the leadership and all board members/major share holders be given death sentences for requiring money that keeps being taken away from public services. And all that is before the crimes of purging workers and giving themselves huge bonuses while workers are paid shit.

  • The weapons need to go first without question. But I think that the power stuff might realistically be needed badly for us to put as much of a dent as possible into getting fossil fuels out of use on the grids. There are less problematic options that are around (Thorium is the one I have seen), and of course China is doing some major progress towards fusion which would be massively game changing. This isn’t to say that we shouldn’t use renewable options like geothermal, wind, tidal, etc…

But I think the threat of MAD is that main thing that needs to be stopped. The threat of MAD is not effective if a armed nation refuses to take an L if they fuck around and find themselves losing land fast. Israel is currently the big threat for actually using a nuke as they would rather take everyone out as they find out that their military isn’t as good as they claim. They are starting wars on multiple fronts and are not a large (fake) nation. They are also ran by a very similar death cult of hawks that the US has had over various periods (so many mf-ers were wanting to use shit the moment a leftist party gained support anywhere).

Sadly I don’t know how we could actually remove all weapons. As all of the current holders would most certainly keep some hidden. And they would say that it was “needed” because “what if the others don’t actually do it???” headspace.

  • Aside from the BS of libs non-stop going hard to say that Trump winning will mean fascism and the end of all freedoms. Which makes it very stupid to then act like “voting harder” would be the only correct way to prevent said fascism (it also didn’t stop the south from kicking off war). In addition to lame ass well wishes and showing the real colours of not really believing the threat to freedom.

I am starting to think that the dems and anti-gun republicans are trying to scare conservatives and pro-gun liberals into banning guns. As they would only push for bans if it directly impacts them and their leaders. But is more an idle conspiracy theory thought that I had after seeing the article. Wouldn’t work well if they were doing so, as it would most certainly lead to lots of actual shootouts when state and federal agents attempt to take peoples’ weapons.
