I think you’re right. Though I do think that Putin is smarter than most people give him credit for, and I feel like ironically he might protect Zelenskyy to an extent, since no matter how Zelenskyy would die, Putin would be blamed.

I don’t see how you can’t discount Bernie. Bernie was my gateway into socialism/leftism/eventual communism as well, but he isn’t the be-all-end-all figure, and you lose nothing by discounting him.
