I’m not a fan of these longer three minute trailers, but I couldn’t stop watching, this looks like fun. At least everything is out of context and I have no idea what’s going on!
A middle-aged nerd from the UK. I like films and write about them, sometimes for Film Stories or my blog.
Have a great day.

Ah yes, the game that became Starfox adventures where he’s on foot the whole time. As the name implies, I was hoping for some space combat!
Another one? Hasn’t Cameron mapped out about five in total? :-)
So it’s an English web page advertising a book that’s only available in German, Spanish, Italian, and French. Damn, I was going to order one.
Here’s the poster.
This might work, it might not. Didn’t Hasbro licence out their board games for movie adaptations, thats how we got Battleships. I remember this because I’m sure someone bought the film rights for Monopoly.
Because it’s not a remake. Also, Tron: Legacy was a sequel to the original Tron.
Common practice for years now. I posted because I’m quite excited. 😁
Considering the reports are all rumours, I think some people are trying to start up a hate campaign early.
The OJ Simpson joke made me smile but otherwise, this looks terrible.
Hopefully, this means a lovely 4K physical release later as well.
Pre-ordered the moment I got an email from Rarewaves. They have an offer until March 31st with the code Spring10. So Dark City 4K comes out at £23.70. 👍
Turned off halfway, I’m interested and don’t want to see anymore. 😊
When I’m away from home, I watch blurays with my laptop, an external BD drive and PowerDVD. You can only change Blu-ray regions five times but there are a couple of PowerDVD system files to delete and this resets the counter.
After researching, it seems Blu-ray drives are all region free but it’s the software/firmware of the device controlling it that determines the region settings.
This does not apply to DVDs where the region settings is in the drives firmware but can be bypassed with things like AnyDVD I think.
I’m pretty sure there’s an Italian 4K release as well.
I read elsewhere that they will replace the disc if they have any stock which is unlikely as most of the titles are out of print. Apparently you can pick another film instead. A like for like replacement.
Did you guys never get plastic cases for your VHS tapes? Were they always cardboard sleeves?
Here in the UK, they were always in plastic cases.
On a slightly different note here in the UK, TV studios back in the 1960s/70s had all their programs stored on magnetic tapes. When they desperately needed more tapes, they grabbed some off the shelf and wiped the contents. Whatever on that tape was then lost for all time!
It must be just me, but I can’t see what’s so different about this new Shrek?
Well, that was a given really. I have high hopes for this!
