QPC with medium fry went up to $13.89 here. Insanity for a garbage burger (for the price.) I could see it for possibly $7 but even then, not worth it.

As of 2025, the English Wikipedia has 63,040,591 pages. The current text content in all its pages is about 156 GB in size. When counting all the revisions in histories, the size is 26,455 GB (26 TB).

I’m sure many people have already archived this at the least. Or snapshots, at a minimum. Not sure if that’s uncompressed, but if so, compression would save a shitload of that.

I see two new features that look fantastic, but the rest of the UI seems likely unchanged. I’ll definitely give it a shot though.

GIMP is unfortunately not a good competitor, the UX/UI is atrocious, and that’s after spending 25 years using it now… I switched to Krita for most things at this point. GIMP needs some sort of revamp.

The police say the bullets matched the “ghost gun” that he had on him, along with fingerprints from the crime scene. They say it’s “hard evidence.”

Collection of personal data is arguably worth money to them though, for advertising and whatever else they’re doing.

I personally prefer target practice with them. I used to hunt my own meat though (still took it to a butcher for the tedious part of it.) If someone is threatening my life or my family’s lives, then I don’t intend on using it in a soft or touching manner. This has happened a few times, twice with friends, we pulled our guns out and the armed robbers ran off so no bullets had to get exchanged thankfully. But had we not had them, we would have just had to give up our wallets or die I guess shrug. One time one of them did chase one of our friends down and curb-stomped his teeth/face to death… we found him and rushed to the ER. I still have pictures of his bloody face and broken teeth from that wonderful event. He was the only one without a firearm at the time unfortunately.

A lot of their chips are fab’d in the US and Israel and Germany and others though. It’s weird that nobody has mentioned all their US fabs. The new ones coming up in Ohio shortly (construction has been going already) will be two next-gen fab plants.

Automatics and other weapons and explosives already require heavy tax stamps and long approval processes. I’ve also needed a weapon multiple times in my life in multiple states. Wildlife, humans, wild dogs even in cities (pepper spray isn’t a guaranteed deterrent, but I go for switchblade first with sidearm as backup), etc.
