Initially came over during the API protests. But my Reddit is Shit angry blab right now is that I can’t fucking read comments anymore when just randomly searching things on my phone because there’s a pop-up that you can’t close that makes it impossible to read more.
I’ve tried clearing my cache and it seems to come back faster and faster every time. I also flip over to the desktop site instead of mobile to keep reading - but that’s a pain in the arse.
So yeah. Greedy bastards are just smashing the ‘get our app’ banner in your face and blocking everything else. Fuck em

It’s a point and click puzzle/adventure game.
Honestly it’s so endearing, I definitely recommend it.

SNES.
I’ve had the same one for ~30 years and the only thing it’s needed is some electrical tape.

The human brain is amazing and can predict the wildest things. You can look around a room and, without touching a thing, understand what it would feel like to lick random items.
Enjoy!

My boss has been pushing AI so hard. Only just realized it hallucinates. Schadenfreude is immense at seeing att the backtracking.

My grandpa is ~10 years retired after working as a pharmacist his whole career. He’s calling my parents every month, asking for help with his rent and groceries because he can’t afford both at once with his retirement and social security payments.
Mind you, my grandmother did taxes and financials for small businesses, so it’s not like my grandparents weren’t set up. But my grandma’s health went down, hospital bills ate all of their savings, and now that she’s passed, my grandpa can’t afford anything.
It’s not so black and white as “save more and just be healthy”. Not even close

There was a game in the early 2000s that my family and I liked to play called Scene It. It was a DVD with accompanying board game - pretty cool. We had both a Disney and a Music one. I don’t know if my music trivia still holds up, but I was an absolute champ at that game. I’d beat my parents hand over fist despite them being alive for a lot more of the events the trivia asked about.
In a similar vein, I am incredible at the Jackbox game Fibbage. On both sides, the trivia and the lying and suckering people in >:B

The Lion King was really special for me. Incredible performance and insane sets and costumes.
I also recently saw Moulin Rouge and that was an absolute blast - unfortunately accoustics were a bit rough.
For concerts

Good luck friend!
My parents are in their mid fifties and have been roughing it for a while now. It works for them and they’re happy.

My parents flew in for a two week visit and good god I cannot wait for them to leave. Distance has not made this heart grow fonder and despite years of therapy, it’s still so hard to deal with this or set boundaries before them.
They’re unbelievably selfish. Ridiculous alcoholics. They hate each other but won’t break up, which just means they’re both so annoying. And they are so, so childish.
My younger self deserves so many hugs for going through life with them. And my adult self is struggling but doing the best they can. But they’ll be gone soon. Thank goodness

I was young and dumb and didn’t know how to say no.
Timeshare.
It’s so hard to get rid of. Fuck that thing.

It’s pretty crazy at how easy it is to just settle in.
I m grateful that I still do/am able to get in 2-3 miles per day. Not much, but it’s at least something. Thanks to my dog

They don’t hurt per se. I think it’s different per person, but I feel it in my ears first, like I’m flexing them and making them rumble, then I get the sound of static and then my eyes feel like they involuntarily look left and right. I also kinda feel a little bit of a tingle across the top of my head or my brain - so I do get the zap of them as well. This all happens within maybe half a second or less, but it’s multiple times a minute.
Not truly life altering, but the combination of ear rumbles and eye movements are making me hella dizzy all day

Oh my god, you poor thing

At 17, I would have been ungodly shocked to know that those fainting episodes were part of something much much bigger. I’d be a little put off by how sedentary I become, but at least I’m still fighting the good fight.
I think I also would be fairly shocked to see myself as gay.
Young me would have a hell of an emotional rollercoaster to see current me for certain, lol

I think I might cry every day if this lasts that long

The disability bit is hard. There are medical exclusions for going into Canada. I’m on that road right now and I have a heart issue which, for me, equals disabled. My best advice is talk to an immigration specialist - but be sure to check that they are legit and have the right certifications.
Otherwise, like other people are saying, it’s a lot about skills. If your brother is amenable to going to a school in Canada, that’s also an easier way. It’s not a guarantee, but a student visa will last a bit and then having that already Canadian training, it’s easier to be hired by those companies.
Good luck
