That QAnon book is really great, I read it a few months ago. The book gives more variety to how QAnon thought destroys families in how the backgrounds are different and not all families have a happy ending where the QAnon-infected family member suddenly becomes a totally normal and grounded person. It also gives good insight on how cults like QAnon attract people who have gotten themselves into a personal crisis and who may get rattled by other significant events such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

I just read ‘‘The Politics of Bitcoin: Software as Right-Wing Extremism’’ by David Golumbia. The book analyzes really well the ideological roots and assumptions that are baked in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. It also debunks many of the arguments crypto-enthusiasts make. Even though I have invested in various cryptocurrencies, I find the crypto community really icky because of its general right-wing libertarian sentiment. I don’t view crypto as money, more like gambling with a volatile asset.

What else? Got a new SSD for my laptop server and restored my backups into it. A little bit of tinkering and now I am again syncing my files with Nextcloud.

That Carlin clip has been circulated in various alternative medicine quackery communities for a long time, I doubt RFK Jr. has any media literacy. The similar notion has somewhat entered in mainstream discourse with the concept of “immunity debt”.

I think RFK thinks that swimming in contaminated water somehow helps build immunity.

Been playing Enderal for the last three weeks or so. Downright impressive RPG, blows Skyrim out of the water easily. Made by indies, but AAA quality, and free of all things!

Kävin eilen Lidlissä ja hain reippaasti juotavaa, eli vappuaattoon on varustauduttu. Tällä kertaa en tee sitä virhettä, että juon energiajuomia alkoholin lisäksi, siitä ei hyvää seuraa. Keli näyttää olevan ainakin aurinkoinen. Näen paljolti opiskeluaikaisia kavereita ja tuttuja. Hyvää vappua kaikille!

He was inconsiderate when he made edgy jokes, tried to test if those two Fiver guys really would put up a sign saying “gas the Jews” and once said the N-word in a livestream – controversy ensued for obvious reasons and he since apologized for his actions. I haven’t been really following him in the last few years but after those controversies he left any Nazi jokes out, I think he learned his lessons. He has since settled down with a family and it has been pleasant following his life, especially now that he has gotten into Linux.

But don’t tell anything like that to the average Internet leftist! Even if PewDiePie apologized and left edgy jokes out, changed and moved on, in their eyes he is eternally a Nazi or Nazi-enabler who can never redeem himself! No matter how many years have passed, no matter how many apologies, any time PewDiePie gets mentioned in a post or is the main topic, this happens.

How about just “straight”?
