Becoming jaded is easier, but makes certain joys inaccessible. Not that you were saying it’s better, just to clarify that it isn’t. Becoming cynical is something people do proactively when they cannot control their reactivity.

If you are able to control how you react, there’s no reason not to go into every situation ready for the best, just also ready for the worst and able to not let it ruin your day. And if you’re entering every situation like that, you might as well be kind for your own sake, so as to avoid cutting yourself off from potential positivity, while/since knowing that you don’t need to let the potential for the opposite affect you if it comes to pass.

All said, over-investing in kindness to the degree that you wear yourself down clearly doesn’t serve you, so all in balance.

  • Two other rational, though more sinister/unfortunate conclusions could also be that you smoked some bad (ie fake or laced) weed and someone spiked your drink at the bar.

Situation 1: did you have and smoke more from that same batch any other times? /Did your friend bring their own stuff?

Situation 2: could have gotten drugged unfortunately, but fortunately left before blacking out and managed to get yourself home.

100% the simplest and most harmless explanations are most likely, not suggesting that the worst case scenario is probable. Just thinking of other possibilities.

My only experiences with missing time are most likely epilepsy-related, so I’ve never thought much of one beyond that. Seizures can feel pretty strange by definition, so I don’t think I would know how to guess if something else caused a given episode.

  • It is possible that many soft foods could still cause issues, like small seeds in a smoothie or the skin of a bean getting stuck somewhere and causing issues. I’d follow the common advice in this thread and take some ideas of very soft foods to your doctor and ask about them specifically. Might as well make sure, but if they double down on only those 3 foods being safe, I’d trust em at that point.

Smoothies and beans are top options if you have any flexibility though, so many ways you can make/flavor both.
