None, really. I’d play Mortal Kombat with my much older sibling as a child and also grew up playing games like Diablo and GTA (the old ones). I really liked Carmageddon and Postal, too. TBH what I enjoyed the most about GTA was stealing cars and driving around in them. XD Or blocking traffic with a bunch of cars.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it a bad idea to let my kid's friends rent from me and live in my house?
4·1 年前Not sure how it is over there but in The Netherlands in a situation like that it would be difficult to have them leave because you are not allowed to just kick them out without a very good reason (to protect the tenants). So if there are any problems or you changed your mind (at least here) you’d be stuck with them if they refused to leave.
I think Disco Elysium might be the game you’re looking for!

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it weird I don't typically answer how old I am anymore, because literally nobody besides my family believes me?
5·1 年前Yeah I’m 36 and can hear them as well. They’re so annoying and give me a headache. :-/

28·1 年前I’ve seen this pop up on websites a lot lately. Usually it takes a few seconds to load the website but there have been occasions where it seemed to hang as it was stuck on that screen for minutes and I ended up closing my browser tab because the website just wouldn’t load.
Is this a (known) issue or is it intended to be like this?

2·1 年前I looooved Simon The Sorcerer so much as a child! One of my favourite point and click adventures.

2·1 年前I find it super fun! Basically even without programming the behaviours the game is very playable but the programming aspect is a big part of the game and makes it really fun. I feel like the game has kind of gone under the radar and deserves a lot more attention.
Desynced kind of feels like Factorio but without the belts. So instead of placing belts and splitters and such you define behaviours for your units and buildings. Another plus is that it runs quite well on the Steamdeck!

1·1 年前Ah that clarifies a lot actually. I do miss the days where I’d go to a store and buy a physical copy of a game. Then again, they do end up taking up (physical) space of course.

1·1 年前Not sure how it works nowadays, actually! As a child I would borrow PC and PlayStation games from the library. They were physical copies of course. But with Steam keys and all I’m not sure!

2·1 年前Oh this sounds super interesting. Reminds me of Desynced! Added it to my wishlist.
So the game was abandoned? That’s too bad! I was considering buying it once it got more features (since it was still in early access)but wasn’t 100% sure yet. I ended up getting Foundry at the time but still wanted to try Techtonica at some point.

1·1 年前How often do they generally release major updates for the game? I almost bought it at (EA) launch but I think this kind of game might be the most fun (to me) if I play the full release, or would you say early access has plenty of content right now? I’ll still wait at least until co-op is out. Played Elden Ring with my husband using the co-op mod and really loved it. Watched the gameplay videos of this one and it looks really good.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your method of enjoying (or at least tolerating) physical exercise?
6·1 年前I was going to say exactly this. When I have to take a break from exercising and need to get back to it it’s not easy, but I remind myself of all the benefits that come with exercising and how much better it made me feel and that gives me the motivation to get started again. The easiest way for me to force myself to exercise on a day I really don’t feel motivated to do it (or I’ve been out of it for a while) is by putting on my sport outfit and readying whatever I need for my exercises, telling myself I can still change my mind and not do it whenever I want. But by the time I got changed and everything is ready I think “I might as well just do it”.
And it just really takes that one time to fully remind myself of how good it feels afterwards and it gives me the motivation to keep going. Sometimes I’ll end up enjoying it so much I can’t wait for my next exercise session and no, it’s not the actual exercising myself I enjoy, but how I feel afterwards.

8·1 年前This is rather disappointing. The game looks really good and I’ve been looking forward to playing it. But I meant to play the game in co-op with my husband and when it launched in early access it didn’t seem to have co-op yet (if I remember correctly) so I decided to wait until that was added (and working of course). But after hearing this news I’m a bit wary of buying a game that I’m not sure they’ll even finish. That’s such a shame because the game really looks amazing and super fun to play in co-op.
(What’s the state of the game right now? Have they added co-op yet and how is the game so far?)

Is it, though? Because if the billionaires had all that money but only themselves and their billionaire friends on team billionaire, how powerful would they actually be (in comparison to, say, now) if they didn’t have any non billionaires on their side?
I think they’re this powerful right now because there are a lot of non-billionaires who are dumb enough to do whatever they’re told by them even if it’s not in their own best interest (or the rest of the world’s) at all.
