The only thing that I can come up with is tamper-proof cameras with a secure execution environment that cryptographically sign the recordings and physically trash themselves when the enclosure is opened.

Opisek@lemmy.worldto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•What's your favourite OS that does not use systemd?45·14 hours agoThis feels like an “I would switch to Linux if I didn’t need Windows for work” comment from another universe.
You could just as easily burn a deepfake onto tape.
Excuse me, how exactly did babies ruin the USA?
Opisek@lemmy.worldto Bicycling@lemmy.world•Bending Spoons acquires komoot (and will totally ruin it like they did with Evernote)English2·4 days agoWell, Komoot essentially is the frontend client. For an open source version, you have plenty of data sources for maps, weather, etc., for example OpenStreetMap. The challenge is integrating that into a present user experience. Open source efforts should therefore focus on that. The “backend” part already exists.
I never had any issues with npm. Moved to bun nowadays and still going strong. If I want to install something, I install it, and then it works.
Setting up anything with pip however…
I do feel a bit weird crossing these metal doors though. Feels like an employee-only thing, but I also know no one cares.
You need to escape the closing bracket.
I’ll do you one better. Do you know what a windows update killed on my multi boot system? It killed the windows bootloader. I’m working on a permanent solution to fixing this bootloader fudgery.
Opisek@lemmy.worldto memes@lemmy.world•Its like seeing those high-tech pop machines for the first time6·15 days agoWithout a doubt, but the problem is, developers don’t care anymore to make their games run at all without DLSS. DLSS should not be the baseline.
Forgot to add the detergent

And you know what it does have one use for me. I do like me my 4K monitors, but some games are simply too much for that. And rendering them at lower resolutions almost NEVER works without completely breaking full screen or something else. DLSS on the other hand pretends to be 4K and everything works again.

I recommend Kagi. It is a search engine with absolutely no tracking or ads, AI slop filter, an in-house index and a cute doggo. It’s a paid search engine (which means you pay with money not with data), but you can give it a try with 300 free searches with no strings attached.
