  • On my dads computer, back in the day, I set the sound for every action in Windows to a silly song i downloaded off kazaa (Windows xp days, i believe)

So this was the sound that played for clicking the start menu, hovering over programs/apps, whatever it was and making that menu appear, and any sub menu for individual games or apps following that. Any kind of prompt like errors or “are you sures” etc, minimising/maximising a window. Everything!

That’s what my virus would do. I just need the perfect sound to apply. Maybe that annoying tiktok song “Oh no! Oh no! Oh no no no no no!”

  • This translates to tv shows too to prove the point.

Tv shows that only have a few seasons that are high quality start to finish are so much better than tv shows that go on and on and on and on.

For example, the simpsons, whilst an excellent show, should have ended many seasons ago. It’s 30 odd seasons in, and it’s stale. It’s a little funnier recently, but i dont think it will ever be as big as it was.

I would consider it a failed show now but a successful show back when it was popular.

So it’s pretty much proof of the point that forever is not the definition of success.

  • Most definitely can be refuted. There are hundreds or maybe thousands of amazing games out there made by young and old people that appeal to both young and old people. The issue Anon is struggling with is non gamer capitalists running game companies and milking games for every last penny at the cost of quality.

I know it’s a tired example, but look at the company and team responsible for BG3. A game that is widely considered one of the greatest games to be realsed in at least the last 10 years, maybe even longer. This game was made by a company owned and operated by old people and young people. The teams directing, designing, creating, and writing this game were made up of multiple generations of people, and what was made, unimpacted by corporate greed, was a masterpiece.

Good games are products of passion and creative freedom, not money or age.

How can you possibly know who was driving the car?

I took the picture… about 15 or 16 years ago

Furthermore, even if the red van wasn’t being driven by a learner, how can you know the events that led to this weren’t caused by a different car driven by a learner?

The area that the car was is a small car park outside of a pub called the coach and horses.

    Coordinates 53.3764660, -3.1237445

The driver had just come from the pub. I was across the road in the beer garden of another pub called the greave dunning (just about visible i that screenshot) when it happened and witnessed the crash. He got in his car, had it in 1st instead of reverse, and went straight through the bricks and off the edge.

Is that enough for you to understand why i find it ironic?

    Irony:

a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result.

The car is not being driven by a learner. Its not ironic just because a car crashed outside a driving school, its ironic because the driver is experiencedz has a licence and should be able to drive but they have crashed outside a driving school, the place you go to learn to drive…

I thought this was pretty clear.

  • I have to disagree. Granted, those learning to drive are likely less skilled than those who have passed their tests already. However, the majority of crashes involve people who have already passed. Learners tend to be more careful and drive more slowly than more experienced drivers. Learners also have an instructor present who can use the dual pedal controls in the instructor car to stop something like this from happening.

So whilst you might think a more experienced driver would be less likely to crash, remember, this car was not being driven by a learner and more experienced drivers are less likely to pass driving tests, since they develop bad habits like not using indicators, becoming overconfident and bending or breaking rules, more likely to speed and as stated beforez are far more likely to crash or be caught in one than a learner.
