Interesting to hear the history. So Prusa was the original trail blazer?

Qidi is a new name for me, I’ll put that on the list too. Lots of people are recommending the Core 1. 🤔
I think that multi colour isn’t a huge deal.
Initially I’d be printing things like organisers.
My wife wants to build interesting art. Like eye ball phone holders or other fun stuff.
Thank you for the names, I’ll have a research, they are all new to me.
Excellent print handwriting 10/10

JavaScript community@lemmy.ml•For a complete coding newbie, is JavaScript for Kids a good starting point?
01·2 个月前If you are already comfortable with Claude, you might find it useful to make a JavaScript application using Claude and then have it explain what it just wrote.
For what it is worth, for little projects I will often use NodeJS to run JavaScript.

7·11 个月前

And regarding experiences, most towns are older than America. Where I live they recently celebrated 800 years of age. There’s a lot of history to explore.
It would probably be better to get experience ideas from your daughter, since the area will be oozing with history and things to see.
I live in Germany, if you have a specific question I can try to answer.
In general there are a lot of stereotypes about Germans, but most of them aren’t correct.
- Germans are efficient. Nope.
- Germans have no humour. Nope.
- Germans are unfriendly. Nope.
- Trains are on time. Nope.
Some are slow to warm up to strangers.
Many places only take cash still, though that is slowly getting better.
People do stare, not sure if that is specifically a German thing.
One thing that might be useful for you to know, coming from America. Many Germans get irritated by stereotypical American over sharing.
Be prepared to have your opinions on Trump probed.
When I was a child I was very moved by the sequence in Homeworld where they returned to Kharak. Everything was burning and Adagio for Strings playing.

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•In Norway, laser weapons are being used to remove sea lice from farmed salmon. The Stingray Laser System uses cameras to scan the fish, identify lice, and then deliver a laser pulse to kill them.
1021·11 个月前They exist in trials. The human danger is too great though I think. If the laser thinks your eye is a fly for a split second, game over for vision.
Sounds like someone is due a raise 😅

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why does Intel seem so pessimistic about its future?
16·1 年前Sounds about right. I was a die hard fan of Intel for years. I upgraded my PC this year and I picked AMD for the first time in my life. Looking at the scathing reviews and performance tables, it is an insane choice to pick Intel.

Usually when you hear the typical ice cream truck songs in Germany, it’s a dude rolling around looking for old metal.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Non-Americans, what's it like when you're sick and need to go to the doctor?
5·1 年前We do also get money taken directly out of our pay check for health insurance. So it isn’t just the 5 euro fee. But I think it manages to be considerably less, since everyone is required to have insurance. I think that brings down the cost for everyone.

Thank you, lots of people are recommending the Core 1. I’ll definitely need to check that out.
