As a stay-at-home-parent to a young toddler, Ms. Rachel is the only reason I can shower or use the restroom some days. She is a treasure. Her content is great and my baby LOVES when we sing the songs with her. One of the absolute GOAT.

Yeah interestingly this was one of the only places that English versions of the Sailor Moon movies from the 90s series.
It looks a lot more complicated than it is. The tofu katsu recipe is really solid too - rarely have I ever come across a breaded fried food recipe that actually gives you the exact proper amount of batter.
So basically your argument is, if you don’t like the gameplay loop, they force you to pay? I’m not arguing that there are idiots out there who will spend their life savings on digital crop, but you are dramatically OVERselling the difficulty of upgrade requirements. Sure if you wanna play 8 hours a day you’re eventually gonna have to spend money, but. If you play for an hour or so each day, hit the events that are worth the time, do some daily/weekly dungeons as they are available, a little exploration and a little questing, and have any sense of “progress takes time”, the actual gameplay is fun enough to carry without spending money. If it isn’t, for you or someone else, then just don’t play?
Also, oversexualization of minors is a term that gets thrown around a LOT with this game and I just don’t see it, basically ever. The few characters that are actual children are dressed conservatively, act like children, are treated like children by other characters, there’s never inappropriate commentary about them… if you wanna offense to the anime-style art that makes everyone, including adults, cartoonist, that’s your opinion. It’s weird that a lot of people act like it’s a pervasive issue when it really doesn’t exist at all in the game.
What the fuck are you talking about. This is an insane take.
Dang there is a lot of hate for this game here, like it’s definitely not the best game ever but it is one of the most compelling mobile experiences out there, with a decent story that has some great moments, and it can absolutely be played completely for free without missing out on much. The only thing spending money is good for is specific characters and weapons, none of which are required, and you can absolutely save up from playing for free and get almost any of those characters/weapons without spending a dime.
It’s not for everyone but I feel like this game gets a lot of hate simply for the Chinese origin, cartoony style, and microtransactions without any actual knowledge of what it’s like to play it.
Yeah the evidence is whack but right now the “He did something justified” is just a symbol, if it turns out someone else did it they would take over that symbolism.
I absolutely love this post. Amazing work.
Who said anything about going quietly. Rage, rage.
Don’t kill yourself that’s just giving them what they want. Existence is resistance.
This is almost definitely legal speak for “we ain’t liable”
They don’t care if you mod for game, but they’re not opening themselves up to get sued if you download a mod and it borks your computer.
Yeah I think people were shopping at Walmart if they were already willing to scrape the bottom of the barrel for low prices and convenience. Target was considered in a lot of groups where to go if you need big box stuff but have a moral quandary with Walmart. I know it was for me, at least. That entire subset of people was already willing to forsake convenience if it meant shopping along with their values. I couldn’t like Costco any more than I already did (superfan) so I’m not necessarily going there more or spending more, but I am evangelizing them when I get the chance.
Basically I think the absolute number of people who shop with their values is relatively low, but a lot of them went to Target, and now they’re not. I have certainly vastly decreased the amount I’m shopping there and instead looking for local/direct online sources of goods I would get from there or just forgoing stuff entirely.
Ah yes the famously honest and straightforward Trump administration
Tech journalists are used to reporting on people who think their shit tastes like candy just because people are willing to eat it.
Totally agree on this - I have forgiven a lot of shit in my life but the one thing that has truly hurt me is when someone I cared about was offended by my methods of expressing concern to them about their behavior, and they retaliated by trying to get my partner to leave me.
Despite the fact that it was a laughable attempt, the intention to actually hurt me, not just accidental toe-stepping or expression of frustration, is what drew a line for me.
I will forgive unintentional damage followed by remorse, I will forgive outbursts and emotional interaction, but actively trying to hurt someone is the behavior of an adversary.
Haha same, because yellow and orange and two of the common ones. I could see not being aware of white and purple because they are pretty niche and rare.
Um. 2/3 of the bell peppers? There are yellow, orange, purple, and white bell peppers too. Do your bell pepper research. Amateur.
Shoulda been like “we applaud this act of transparency and mainstream media olive branch from Hegseth”
I have a rechargeable trimmer. Like you, I’m never going for that ultra-close shave. I have fairly light/thin facial hair though, so the 5 o’clock shadow looks works well for me.
No you’re pretty much right (it’s about sharing, and not being selfish), but the way it’s written doesn’t make that clear.
I also remembered it as a book symbolizing wealth inequality but the metaphor doesn’t work that well.
