Background checks can cover a variety of areas. The last 5 companies I’ve worked for have all done them. Education verification was not on any of them. They were mostly concerned about criminal records. A few of them did credit checks.

They might add a few extra steps.

1. Promise money
2. Migrants come to collect but are told they must wait to be transported out before they get the money, you know so we are sure you left.
3. Hold them in detention and fly them to El Salvador
