  • Agreed from New Jersey. I was fortunate enough to go with a friend whose family is all from Portugal, in Furadurao or however it’s spelled, I dunno. But did Lisboa, Porto, stopped at the home of the oldest brothers in Portugal (at the time). Was fed much portwine at every home we stopped at, and ate bread with melted cheese in it that I’ve been chasing for the last 15 years since we were there.

I’m fortunate to be from Jersey for many reasons, but one of them is the huge Portuguese population we have and the cooking they brought with them.

  • Stop ringing the potatoes and peel them instead!

And grammar jokes aside, I try to do prep work ahead of time sometimes. Potatoes can be peeled and placed in a bowl of water in the fridge prior to cutting and mashing. I will chop up things like broccoli and carrots for stir fry. I make a gumbo where I take a pepper of each color, red green orange yellow, and dice them small, so like mini dice. I’ve gotten pretty good at it, but I’m no chef or anything, so it’ll eat up fifteen minutes or so, so for the gumbo I dice my peppers, slice the green onions, put them all in a bowl in the fridge ahead of time. Extra points if it’s during the workday.

Is logical thought teachable though? You can read all the books, but if you can’t correlate the information, does it matter? And I should say it that way, but more along the lines of two people can read the same set of literature and come to two different conclusions, and somehow we determine one of those conclusions to be right.

Not just that, but that somehow MAGAts aren’t educated. Like it’s not the same distribution of morons amongst those with post-high school education as it is amongst those of us who didn’t go to college. I just don’t understand what education has to do with anything. There are very educated people, moderately educated, and uneducated (like me) on both sides of the aisle. But you know what the left is good at? Alienating each other.

  • What is educated? As the all degrees the same? I’m one of these morons with no degree over here, so obviously I can’t understand how one degree is maybe different than another. Some of the stupidest people I’ve known have degrees. I know some incredibly intelligent people, but they put all their points in math and they’re tough to have conversations with. So what is educated, and honestly, what importance does it have?
