I’m seeing some conflicting reports indicating that study might have been canceled, there’s conflicting information from different sources. Still awful that this was even considered in the first place.
Depends on the tree species, technically the only living part of a tree trunk is a thin layer of material right under the visible bark. If you go around and expose the wood in a circle around the trunk the tree will die, but I guess if you’re careful the bark can be harvested without harming the tree.
Disclaimer: I am not an arborist, this is just my recollectio of an explanation I got several years ago.

21·16 days agoKrafton fired the creators to deny them a million-ish dollar bonus that was promised to them, then made a whole bunch of accusations against the creators to try to shift the blame.
Clocking something means paying attention to that thing to evaluate some quality it would indicate about the thing that has it. Clocking the flag means seeing if they are displaying a pride flag or an american flag or a confederate flag, all of which carry very different implications.

2·1 month agoMy stance on that example is that it is consistent with utilitarianism to not harvest healthy people because the mere act of doing so causes harm to all the other healthy people that weren’t harvested in the for of fear that they could be at some later point down the line.

Aren’t those all the rules for media to get published in China, or have those rules changed since the last time I glanced at them.

Fascinating, the most recent update seemed to have massively improved things on my Linux system. At the very least I am no longer getting the problem where my entire computer freezes so hard even caps lock doesn’t work.
