Google is notifying Gmail users that the webmail's Basic HTML view will be deprecated in January 2024, and users will require modern browsers to continue using the service.

    Typical Google, but I guess people barely used it. I used it during my time in the navy. We only had 64k satellite for private mail at sea.

    The HTML view help so much when I was in areas with very slow internet. I used it rarely, but none the less, it was nice to be able to count on that if needed. Not anymore, shame.
