Are there people just browsing new and downvoting stuff they want to suppress? This one, like my posts often do, got a near-instant downvote. That one early downvote can kill a post if it isn’t quickly cancelled out.

It seems to happen a lot with anime content… as if they can stop weebs from making a home on the fediverse. Keep posting! I’ll keep upvoting!
