The “Steam Breach” – Debunked

A LinkedIn post claimed an 89M-record Steam user breach, citing data from a third-party vendor (Twilio). But both Valve and Twilio have confirmed:

  • No Steam systems were breached.
  • Data appears to be old SMS messages—containing one-time codes and phone numbers only.
  • No passwords, payment info, or account details were exposed.

📢 Valve recommends:

Bottom line: There’s no need to panic, change your password, or throw your Deck into a volcano.
