Whoever wrote that code is definitely the right team to rewrite social security.
Australia did this once. We called it “robodebt”. An algorithm that falsely cut people off social security and ultimately killed some of them.
I would say don’t give DOGE any ideas but I think that’s less bad than some of their own.
