Biden’s problem isn’t old age, it’s dementia. Sanders is also very old but still quite healthy of mind.

But those two alternatives are monsters, which don’t even compare to an ill man.

    voters want change

Wasn’t that why they voted for Trump? Look where that got them. There are plenty of good politicians in the pool (e.g. Sanders and over here we had Corbyn) who would bring change. But apparently not the change they want. What change exactly is this? Not the good of the whole, evidently. I’m of the view that corrupt politicians are just the downriver. The source of the pollution is the population itself. We have to face the fact that a part of our population are either becoming fascists or already have. I don’t believe it’s a large fraction yet but all it takes is an unchecked rotten apple to rot the entire basket.

He also has a stutter, isn’t a natural orator and naturally has age related decline. Anyone his age would.

The problem is, we saw what happened when people didn’t vote for Hillary because she wasn’t ideal.

sounds about right. I’m currently planning to vote Marianne Williamson in the primary, and if she doesn’t win the nomination then green in the general. I haven’t seen/heard anything to sway my vote yet. Not a fan of Trump or Biden at all (they’re both crooks IMO). DeSantis is ehhh seems more like a shit stirrer who doesn’t actually care about anything but drama.

This may not sway your vote, but a vote for a candidate that isn’t going to win might as well be a vote for Trump. The 2020 election was decide by 43,000 votes across three states. Maybe another Trump term is okay with you, but it’s something to consider.

Complaining about people’s vote is a great way to suppress voters from even voting. Maybe they are someone who wouldn’t vote for Biden or Trump. So their choice is voting or not, I say go ahead and vote. Don’t wait for polls to tell you who the winner is so that you can cast your vote correctly.

This. my vote is going towards a ubi candidate (green) or not voting at all.

The people you dislike thank you for your service. For them letting perfect be the enemy of decent and delectable has always served them well. And they thank you for making sure that you never achieve any of your goals.

they’re suggesting that you’re their enemy for not doing what they say. and they’re full of shit for attacking a conscientious voter rather than trying to appeal to the huge amount of people who don’t vote at all.

If they care so desperately for my vote all they gotta do is openly and explicitly push for ubi. if you’re so desperate and worried that my lack of vote will “make the other guy win” then why are you doing literally nothing to win me over? To me it doesn’t look like you even want my vote because you sure af aren’t trying to get it.

I’d rather trump win than biden. So good. I’m gonna vote green unless the democrat candidate explicitly endorses and pushes ubi. I don’t care if trump wins because biden is worse than trump.

I’m all for UBI and it is only a logical conclusion to our problems.

But trump is just a straight up charlatan. I wouldn’t want him in my own home. No where near my business for damn sure. I just don’t like the guy on a human level. He is greed encapsulated.

Biden is a political vestige of old, I know, but tagging along with Biden is a new wave of smarter more in touch people (for now) and I think we need to support them up and comers, while slowly pushing in the direction that does the most good for most people.

None of our current political frameworks are the answer. We’re still trying to figure it out. And it’s slow going. Extremely slow going.

I think money has soured everything and until it leaves politics, and life in general, nothing is really gonna work in our favor.

          It’s literally broken by design.

biden is worse because he’s progressive and takes up the democrat nomination. I’d rather Trump win than support biden at all. Biden is a homophobe, transphobe, racist, rapist warmonger. At least trump pretends to give a shit, biden actively gloats about being awful.

So any fear mongering of “republicans might win!!” I don’t care. You care more than I do. you want my vote? support a candidate that openly pushes for ubi, that’s how you get my vote. otherwise stop complaining that I don’t vote for your shitty candidate.

Personally, i have given up on the Democratic party. They run a bunch of crunchy lefties during the primary to draw the progressives, but they won’t let them win the nomination. Bernie got so close in 2019, I thought the DNC might try to assassinate him to make sure Biden won. Of course, in 2016, SCOTUS said they could just rig the primaries, or not even have primaries at all, and that would be legal. So, I have little trust in them to do the right thing.

I have voted Green in the last two presidential elections and vote Working Families Party in most local elections. WFP is a social democrat/progressive party that caucuses with the democrats. Hakeem Jeffries is WFP and is also my congressman, so that’s cool. I like Howie Hawkins, and he’s a lot more trustworthy and less kooky than Jill Stein who turned out to have some possibly dubious Russian connections. At this point, most of the Green Party platform is carbon-copied from what Bernie Sanders was running on, and some other similar stuff. It’s matured a lot since the wacky party it was in the 90s.
