❗️US Supreme Court allows Trump administration to end TPS protections for Haitians & Syrians
The US Supreme Court on Thursday allowed President Donald Trump’s administration to move forward with ending a humanitarian protection program for hundreds of thousands of Haitian and Syrian immigrants, marking another victory for its restrictive immigration agenda.
In a 6-3 decision, the court’s conservative majority overturned rulings by federal judges in New York and Washington DC, that had blocked the administration from terminating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 350,000 Haitians and about 6,100 Syrians.
