    All that being said, their career is to drive big trucks for large companies - they’re not exactly known for their honed intellectual discourse or exceptional decision-making skills.

    I’m not saying they don’t have value - just that their opinions on immigration and renewable energy aren’t ones anybody should take seriously.

      Some of them are genuinely good people though, who, I didn’t even realise were truckies when I meet them.

      it definitely isn’t the governments fault though that some of them decided to sign contracts that didn’t take the cost of fuel into consideration. They got greedy, like the people who relied on tax dodginess, and have now been recently caught out.

        Yeah for sure, I’m not trying to diminish the individuals who can be whole-hearted and warm people.

        Just as a group, their opinions on EVs don’t come from a place of education, just feelings; and the vile/hateful/racist ones just aren’t worth knowing or taking seriously.
