There are plenty of ignorant or transphobic doctors who are against HRT for trans people. Most doctors don’t specialize in it or even read the research on it.

tbf it is possible, I can imagine someone who’s fine with their AGAB but just wants different genitals.

And maybe it’s a good thing to detangle that from being trans even for trans people, because then people can explore things at their own pace without immediately having to confront the big gender question.

In English there’s often no good way to avoid connotations other than a massive wall of text, and even there people will frequently ignore caveats.

Yeah, if my right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is too far for them, they’re not fighting for anything worth backing.

I’m theoretically bi but practically lesbian, I prefer to say lesbian because it communicates an idea closer to the truth. I’m sure people could say I’m technically not lesbian or technically not bi, and to those people I ask wtf they think the purpose of words are.

I’d say it’s fine and that people should expect such a simple term to not fully capture people.

Straight men are attracted to more than one women and therefore they’re attracted to people who aren’t their wife, so they must be cheating!

I did find myself over a very long time and it turns out “myself” oscillates between several different points uncontrollably and I somehow think that’s not gonna be considered an acceptable answer.

I guess lesbian and black women are next to be kicked out because some bigots are scared of them in the women’s toilet. But there’s no law against female convicted sex offenders using the toilet for the safety of others, strange… almost as if it’s not about supposed safety from “dangerous” people.

It’s normal where I live for students to say that. You can argue with that, but then I’d say it’s not worth singling out one person.

I didn’t get the impression reading that that they’re presenting themselves as an intellectual or a researcher, just that they’re a nerd going down rabbit holes.
