I’m not a dev, but bootc sounds like the way forward. Like, it has ostree baked in, so you get all of it’s benefits without having to deal with the drawbacks.

On top of that, bootc is more distro agnostic. So, ideal for an Arch base. And most of all, your distro would be contributing to the community for being a bootc arch reference.

Flatpak and co-op ? This is insane! I’ll download it tonight.

Personally, I dislike people that use the downvote button as a “disagree button”. Voting up or down should encourage healthy human interaction which is what social platforms are for.

Praise the lord (Linus), the one Windows feature I’ve been missing.

Speaking of pointers and clicking… the feature to scroll by holding down the middle mouse button and moving the pointer now has a new optional triggering mode: you can press the middle mouse button to enter and exit this scrolling mode, without having to hold it down. This makes it bit closer to the “Autoscroll” feature on Windows.

Why ostree instead of bootc?

Imagine if you can’t find your loved one for some reason, car crash, or out of gas and they can’t communicate (no reception, dead battery). Having quick access to their timeline facilitates a fast response.

These kind of apps have a ton of value for emergencies and the overall security of a family.

Hi, I have both Dawarich and Reitti installed, I tend to use Reitti a lot more because it shows my family on the map as soon as I log in, and I can review their timelines as well.

Back when I used Windows, I paid for the Lunchbox license, and it’s great they are porting it.

However I’ll going the RomM + RetroDeck route, as soon as the integration is stable.

There were games I couldn’t play because of games for Windows live login requirement and their backend remained broken. I don’t trust them for the long run.

The only way I would buy this is if it didn’t require Xbox login, and that ain’t happening anytime soon.

In my experience, the only safe way to dual boot is on two drives and use the bios to chose the OS.

Every other method is a countdown to a screwed up boot process.
