PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Nintendo [of America] sues the US government over tariffs — Japanese videogame giant seeks 200 billion refund with interestEnglish
61·4 days agoAnd all of that was at the cost of Nintendo, didn’t you know? They single handedly took on that cost so Americans wouldn’t have to spend a cent more. They didn’t even increase their products by more than 35% in relation to an increase of 10%.

15·4 days agoI’m imagining he is from the far past and is just now seeing the demon box in everyone’s hands. It is an artifact of evil. Like the weapons brought to Israel by Raytheon. Raytheon, where our motto is “Nowhere to run (cause you’re trapped), nowhere to hide (everything is flattened), pay us all you can and we’ll bring you genocide”

9·5 days agoAfter Equifax and DOGE, I’m not sure I can bring myself to care anymore. Cat’s out of the bag, and no one will be punished. I get shit on, again and again, and my “representatives” rake in that sweet “lobby” money to ignore the issue. I just wish the bad actors would share the lawmakers information very publicly so they might finally start caring.

politics @lemmy.world•Kamala Harris might run for president again in 2028. Please, no | Arwa Mahdawi
296·7 days agoNo. Just no. Other countries cn rise above misogyny, but not us. Dems need to drop this whole “please the right” schtick too. We need someone actually progressive, someone who doesn’t ride the Israeli money train, and alas - is male. Bonus points for not playing the “we need to forgive and forget” card either. It didn’t work, and a lot of these assholes are just regurgitating the South. They lost, but never faced punishment. If we let racism slide, we let them build confidence and organize.

TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•Worst day of my life
6·15 days agoI mean, the fact that Klingons being different may have to do with losing their world and 800 years of evolving? But sure, I’m sure he’s the only one that didn’t act like a berserker lusting for violence (Even though Worf and Alexander were other examples of culturally different Klingons). My only hangup with Klingons is the constant shift in appearances. Species don’t change drastically 3 times in one century usually. To trigger so many mutations Qonos must be constantly shifting in climate.

2·15 days agoOld school Star Trek, beams and transmissions to the skull. STNG: Check out this technologically superior collection of races with wires and shit jammed into their bodies. Ds9: Same. Voyager: We like to mix our body horror with curvy female forms. Discovery: We are all over the place in timelines. We like jamming tiny robots in your body, Borg don’t know shit about penetration. (I havent watched anything else except Academy)

Sony pissed me off a few years back. Day one: wanna share data with us? No. Year later: data? No. Year 3. Your tv will no longer accept internet connections unless you agree to share your data. Ok, fuck. Year 4. 30% apps no longer work due to system requirements. You - bastards. I just used a firestick in it until it died on year 6. Which also sucks since it was $3000 in 2017.
