I made biscuits. They’re not particularly pretty but they’re highly delicious.

I am grateful for frozen veggies, letting me get some easy nutrition in when I can’t be bothered.
I’m also grateful for video calls. I have a meeting tonight for a volunteer gig and once I would’ve had to drive a fair distance and then probably freeze in a cold hall to take part. Instead I can participate at home in my slippers with the heater going.
My fault sorry, I’m going camping so naturally it’s turning cold and wet.
“I don’t really want to get rid of this fridge but I told you I’d advertise it and now I have.”
After being “a really amazing candidate, ɓut we just had this other person with x” for way too many jobs, I’ve finally been offered a job that’s interesting, uses some of my skills, is 20 minutes from home, and is good money. Fucking finally.
I’m craving pavlova. Probably shouldn’t make one.
They’ll be in that bag you haven’t used for a couple of months.
Good on him and all, but where are my chocolates?
Honestly, get your shit together Vasili
Clothes horse.
A small annoyance in my life is that my horse is five socks wide. It means that either some of my socks have to be parted from their partners for drying purposes (untidy), or space is wasted. I mostly cope. But not always.
Fish and chips cooked at home is nice but it doesn’t scratch the specific itch that fish and chips does. Do it.
Maybe some craft to keep your hands busy? Or cleaning?
I’m reading The Burrow at the moment. It’s excellent but also set during Melbourne lockdown. I think there’s enough distance now for it to not take me right back there emotionally, and it’s not the focus of the book, but it’s a bit weird. Reliving the easing restrictions and density limits and all that shit.
It also makes me want a pet rabbit.
Gorgeous spot.
Only if someone sees you.
No majority though, the Greens will have a lot of power. Which is a good thing.
One small change I made maybe six months ago was switching my car radio to ABC Classic FM. Every time I’m in the car I get gentle classical music. No ads, no scary news, the presenters aren’t annoying. I sometimes put it on at home now too for small moments of calm.
Synchronised diving
Oh they needed to be squashed like this. But while they sort themselves out or we wait for a new party to emerge (and it’s unlikely that one will that’s big enough to be taken seriously), there’s nobody to properly hold the government to account. That’s not good for Australia.
If you have a TK Maxx nearby they seem to have pretty solid-looking pet steps quite cheaply.
