You forgot the saddest part. Philip’s last name was Robertson, who didn’t take it too well. Now he’s got a flat head
I recently read about a living whale that had a late 19th century harpoon stuck through its head. I didn’t fact check it, but if true, furious sea gods feels like a valid reinterpretation
I adore the level of non-malicious pedantry that came from your joke

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•I resigned to my last job and now I need to talk to my abusive former boss to get the job back. Any recommendations?
2·9 months agoA little late, but if you have ppl over her head that have a positive opinion of your work, and the hiring manager is looking for info on your work, you could just explain the situation to the hiring manager and ask if one of the even higher ups opinion would be acceptable? If no, gonna have to play very nice with the old manager, and I still might recommend explaining the situation to the hiring manager in case of a bad reference behind your back

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Would we be able to use the measles virus to reset the immune systems of people with autoimmune disorders like MS or rheumatoid arthritis?
3·9 months agoI think this is the primary question before anything else. Can you reliably replicate the immune system reset across multiple test subjects without/while limiting adverse consequences (e.g., completely destroying someone’s immune system permanently)?
Wow, GameShark. Core memory unlocked. Thank you for this
I feel this. I can make my ankle audibly crunch on command by rotating it the right way

What else is there to do for fun??
