Are canned boiled peanuts worth it? I’ve never had boiled peanuts (never seen them in Canada) and I’m curious, and I assume importing them canned would be easier than getting them “fresh boiled”.

Tie it to the federal minimum wage! Want to raise the ceiling by 50%? Gotta raise the minimum wage by 50%!
I know this is mostly a joke, but I do think California is too big for its own good. Splitting it into Northern California, Southern California, and Eastern California (rename as needed) seems to make sense to me: it gives Eastern Californians a voice in the Senate, while also giving a separate voice to SF vs LA. I’m sure this would cause all sorts of other problems I’m not aware of, but what solution doesn’t?
If we’re going by frequency, for Star Trek, I’d replace the phaser with “reversing the polarity”. But I think it’s pretty spot-on for the others.

I hope they come back with something more optimistic and upbeat than the needlessly edgy SG:U. I get that drama and conflict are needed, but a main cast that’s constantly fighting gets tiresome really quickly.

I would much rather get the Bluetooth TOS communicator replica that came out a little earlier, as a present for my dad. I wish they made more of that, instead.

Picturing the scene in Mars Attacks! with the Martians blaring ridiculous friendly statements through the translator while rampaging through the streets.

Unless I’m mistaken, only a democratic senator could start that process.

Remember, this happened some years ago.
Classic old joke:
Guy comes into a bakery, asks for a birthday cake, but has very specific instructions: it has to be German chocolate, with rich, creamy chocolate frosting. Also he wants it in the shape of an ‘S’, he’s very insistent on that.
And he’s gonna stand there and wait until his cake is ready, so they have to make it NOW!
So the baker mixes all the ingredients, pours it into pans, and while it bakes, with the guy watching him closely, he expertly prepares the frosting. Once the cake is done baking, he takes it out, and sculpts out the S shape, using frosting to hold it together. He then covers it in frosting, gives it a nice, professional looking texture, adds some icing rosettes, and even fashions a rose out of frosting.
The baker then presents the cake to the customer, to get his approval. “Is the’S’ shape to your liking?”
The guy says it looks great! So the baker brings out a cake box to pack the cake, but the customer stops him: “Don’t bother boxing it. I’ll be eating it here!”
SMB3 was a revolution. SMW was an evolution.
I personally prefer SMB3 because the controls feel tighter, where SMW sometimes feels “floaty”. But it’s a subtle difference. SMW gives you way more content, but not all of it is as good or as well-designed as the levels from SMB3 (though again, the difference is subtle.)
They are both all-time top games, as is Mario 64.

Just means that when Trump pisses in the wind, we get the golden shower.
Bed bugs are usually in a straight line (they follow your veins). Could this be something other than an insect bite?
Already lost to a bunch of hoodlums (hoodla?) who TAKE the piss. And then kick the shit out of you.

Would it be so hard to have a “photo day”, at the beginning of the campaign, with a hired photographer (maybe someone who does school pictures?) who would be the same one for every candidate (so there can be no favoritism) and who can already demonstrate that they know how to take pictures of different skin tones successfully?
Also, who’s the genius who decided that a photocopy was required, in 2025? I can understand maybe if the photo was just meant to keep a paper trail of some kind, but if a picture is meant to be electorate-facing, at least make it so bonne of the steps will degrade the quality.

In other words, “trumped-up” charges?
