Your slop-pooping machine is bad at text parallax and it still looks gross
If I am looking to buy a product or service that serves a specific need, then I would rather be able to use a search engine to find it.
We…… twice…… established that a consumer is already fiscally paying for these services which then add ads onto the service

2·18 hours agoThat’s what I was theorizing as well. Lazy enough to outsource certain thoughts but not the easy thoughts
Are you trolling?
I don’t see how paying for a service implies or justifies solicitation. Ads, especially online, persistently obstruct information and strive to be a general sensory nuisance. I don’t even watch cable TV because the ads have become so noisy, brainless, and aggressive (also since so much of the network content has as well).
Why are people normalizing targeted ads, let alone being impartial to ads at all?
I thought the boot was supposed to go below the mitten

21·21 hours agoWhile that wouldn’t be surprising by any means, how was this determined? The account has edits in their posts and has commented gifs, which AFAIK bot accounts can’t do unless manually taken over by a human. Some of their comments do seem overly affirmative and flowery, like an LLM’s would, but I have only take a cursory glance at the account so far.

s@piefed.worldtoShitty Ask Lemmy@lemmy.uhhoh.com•do you believe in objective morality?English
3·2 days agoI believe in objective morality because the organized belief system that I was raised in as a child told me that objective morality is real and that it is objectively immoral to doubt said organized belief system
It was usually a rubber KONG toy so not really anthropomorphic
I thought the title implied a Shrek intruder but this is arousing in a different way
I legit asked myself this when I would pretend to throw my dog’s ball or hide her toy under her blanket and then sneak it out and have her look for the toy when it’s not actually in the blanket. Does my audience think of me as God or think of themselves as stupid?

52·4 days agounable to open the doors and drowned
If you find yourself in a car sinking in water, conserve your energy because the doors will not open until your cabin is submerged. Take a deep breath at the last second that you can (you will need it) and wait until you are fully underwater to try to open the doors. This may not have been possible with the shallowness of the pool in the above news story. There are also specialized tools for breaking car windows that you can keep in your glove compartment for emergencies.
