This was more or less same idea I had. Only thing I might add is nobody should feel compelled to like all music; as for me, even if I don’t care for an artist’s music, I can often appreciate the technical quality of their composition.

My point is that this tactic will not work. Only chance is if you can develop a rapport with the person you’re attempting to deprogram, and that will take genuine compassion towards that individual. But, unfortunately, that’s becoming more difficult every day. But the moment you reveal yourself as somebody they’re brainwashed to see as their enemy, everything you say will be rejected.
