Don’t ever burn at over 8x speed if you want it to work in a DVD player, I used to always do 4x. I also used to do encoding into a DVD compatible format separately in Handbrake instead of within whatever burning software I was using.

Unity uses their own fork of Mono that they maintain.

My other sister’s side brought the flu with them. Almost everyone is in some stage of sick, I’m on my second day of taking tamiflu and am in bed with a fever. With both of those things going on, the larger family Christmas was canceled day-of.

On a much smaller side of the bad things, my sister’s washing machine broke on Christmas Eve, so we’re doing laundry for 13 sick people with one residential washer-dryer set.

Currently playing through Red Faction with the Alpine Faction mod that makes it play nice on modern PCs. I feel like if Red Faction 2 didn’t suck, people would remember Red Faction in the same vein as Half-Life.

I’m on a huge point-and-click adventure kick since playing The Drifter. Currently playing though Beneath a Steel Sky.

While helping my family set up holiday decorations, I found a not-too-old tablet that my mom had been given to use in some study from the local university that they never took back. I was able to get it wiped and flashed with lineageos. It’s the perfect SCUMMVM machine.

I can’t believe these people are out here playing chess without a profit incentive.

I played through The Drifter this past week. One of the best point and click adventure games I’ve ever played. I went in not having watched anything about it or even knowing the genre of story and that definitely enhanced the experience.

Also just started playing through Toem and am enjoying it, if you liked Alba, you’ll like it.

I didn’t play the original version, but from what I’ve read 3 remastered (which is what yoillt be playing unless you break out a PS3) really fucked the combat. It’s the only one I played on easy because the fights are just frustration long.
