just in case you haven’t, or someone else needs the tip, you can try both
--cookies-from-browser <browser>and--impersonate <browser>i.e.
--cookies-from-browser firefox --impersonate firefox:linuximpersonate requires python-curl_cffi to be installed.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.ca•Is there a way to rip audio files playing in the web browser and showing the little megaphone icon in the tab?
8·22 hours agosometimes it’s as simple as finding audio elements in the inspector and opening the src attribute in a new tab. ctrl+shift+i (or f12) and you can search for “audio.”
you can also open the network tab, refresh, play the audio, and scroll through requests to see when it requests the audio data. it’s also searchable, look for mp3 and ogg files. if it’s a playlist file (m3u8), you can feed that url to yt-dlp.

fun fact: he’s in dragon ball z: legacy of goku 2 for the gba. he tells you that he moved into the woods because society is too reliant on capsule tech, and then praises you for blowing up a generator. “i like your style.”

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Drop your unpopular opinions here because c/unpopularopinions is filled with popular opinions
1·1 day agothe only thing i don’t like about this internet debate is the people who think they have super elite ball knowledge about salty+sweet being good. everyone knows about salty+sweet, i love all sorts of salty+sweet things, i just do not like hot pineapple and think it makes the texture weird on pizza.
my weird pizza topping that i love is cashews. i’ve gotten a lot of “ewww!” responses to that, which i find so fuckin weird because they’re not exactly known for having a strong flavor.

2·1 day agoto be fair, even hacker news users still sometimes say AI generated text can be spotted by emdashes even though that hasn’t been true for a long time, and those folks trend far qualified to comment than most public social media. same with generating hands, but i really only see that one on places like reddit. it’s not contained to lemmy, is my point.
the term usually also implies you don’t want the foil to touch the food. i stick toothpicks in there for the foil to rest on if it doesn’t wanna work well on its own.

2·1 day agoideally you’d setup wireguard (or whatever) for them to use so you’re not just opening ports to the entire internet. i use jellyfin and like it a lot, but the real major issue with jellyfin is explaining to your elderly mother how to setup and use wireguard on her smart tv.

i remember one time at work we were talking about this stuff, and one of our bosses straight up said the cia has never done anything like that. i really mean it when i say every working class employee busted out laughing.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that one company owns Tinder, Hinge, OkCupid, Match.com and at least 40 more dating sites/appsEnglish
441·3 days agoand reminder, these places make more money if you don’t find a match. they are actively disincentivized from doing their stated job.
same is true for companies like incogni. if mass data harvesting is made illegal, they’re out of a job. and many of them are owned by companies that also own data brokers. the removal process is often just sending your data to a data broker and asking if they have it, which obviously just hands that data right over in the process. they will make more money from data harvesting staying legal and they know it.
yeah, it’s all true, lol.
it’s emacs, though.

i knew exactly what this was going to be.
