I use the old chrome book I have for writing. It was pretty easy to throw Linux on there. Was cheap when I bought it years ago, and still has like 10 hours of battery life. Just don’t expect it to do much other than text processing and simple Web stuff.

If I remember correctly, they’re all core-boot-able, which is neat. Can’t do that with most other laptops.

Like, I see the problem, but my school actually gave out iPads, which I feel was worse. On the chrome book, you can at least access the file system and Linux.

I drop mine plenty. My trick is having a case. I kept my last one till the adhesive on the display failed.

I do, but I see that it’s a preference thing. However, the whole game/story felt to me like it was a passion project. I feel like it’s a gamble at best whether or not whoever hasbro finds to do it will be able to give it the same dedication.

Yeah, I’m in Germany. It used to differ country to country, but since GDPR, you need consent, need to have/give a proper reason for the recording, need to store it in encrypted form, need to provide it to the other party if requested, need to delete it upon request, need to delete it when it has fulfilled it’s purpose. Might have forgotten some requirements.

Things are probably less stringent for one private person recording another, but I’d err on the side of caution and always ask for consent. And if you want to record someone doing something illegal, probably ask a lawyer whether that’d be admissable.

Depends on your jurisdiction. For some US states, only one of the recorded parties has to consent. In my jurisdiction, both parties have to consent.

Can definitely be useful for longer/complicated calls if you can’t take notes in the moment. I’m not suggesting you use it to break any laws, of course.

The stock Graphene app has call recording. Very few other options can do that.

You need a mod for this. In Vanilla, if you save the grove, she’s treated as dead. At least that what happened for me.

Thank you - Very realistic! And nah, I’m not suicidal, that’s fine. Just kinda hopeless for humanity’s future, which makes me a bit more indifferent than I’d like to be.

But I’ve got friends, I’ve got ttrpgs, I have my tinkering projects, I just feel any happiness found is very much hard won from a society that is very anti-human, not because it cares about opposing anyone, but because it is so very indifferent to most things that matter.
