You know, I’m upvoting this out of principle but that was… certainly a video of all time.

That girl needs to eat.

Every time I see the name “Botan” pop up in this instance I am momentarily elated and then let down because it’s not my Botan

This is a style I’ve loved since long before genAI got to a decent standard. Besides which, AI was trained specifically on styles like this, so saying “artists paintings look like AI” is the opposite way to go about it.

Heh.

She is a cat, she must have been up to crimes

Just post like one a week or something. I may not be in the mood for music videos right now but I appreciate seeing the community active and welcoming <3

EDIT: re-reading this in the morning I realize I phrased myself poorly – I meant just post more Peter Gabriel animated videos, sorry.

No shame to the art on display but I cannot with all these V-tuber premiers and “”“graduations”“” and avatar changes. Is this another Gura skin or something?

Actually deeply appreciate giving the character and origin in the post – Idolmatster is WELL outside my knowledge base and would not have known otherwise who tf it is (let’s ignore the part where I could follow the source link and see the tags). <3

I know I’ve heard a lot of people complain about manga and novel titles and heard hearsay that the current trend was driven by a platform which didn’t have any sort of tagging system (thus necessitating putting a breakdown of the story in the title itself), but I’m curious how much of this is driven by the same problems we’re having with Western media titles – namely, now that we’re in a media production golden age, a lot of the simpler, snappier titles have already been taken by litigious, soulless bastards (a good example is the video game Prey).

(Hopefully that embed works)

Copy/pasting someone else’s scores both because I have trouble doing this exact thing and because the Venn diagram of my tastes to the average anime fan has nearly no overlap^‡, hopefully it helps.

Ancient Magus Bride: 1/1/1. Can be enjoyed by people that don’t even know what anime is, barely any sexual content to speak of, extremely high production values.

Konosuba: 6/7/2. Requires a moderate amount of knowledge of anime tropes, specifically the isekai genre and JRPG tropes it’s lampooning. Contains an above average amount of sexual content, though it is not the focus and is generally reserved for comedy rather than genuine fanservice. Generally high production values and is very enjoyable.

Non Non Biyori: 3/0/2. Requires a surface-level knowledge of Japanese culture, but nothing too deep. Contains absolutely no sexual content whatsoever and could be shown to your grandma. High production values for a “girls doing things” show.

^‡as a for instance, I practically loathe Konosuba and yet here it’s rated at a 2 on the shit scale

How many c’s do have to tag on for that front from behind?

thiccccc?

I’ve really liked the weeb-ass-shit scale for cases like this ever since I learned about it.

Three 1-10 scores:

• Weeb: the amount of familiarity one needs of Japanese culture or anime tropes
• Ass: the amount of T&A/panty shots/comedic groping/etc.
• Shit: an inverse quality scale

That, I feel, is entirely subjective. Like, Lain might experiment with the medium and not be good for a kid, I imagine an adult with a love of sci-fi or niche films might find it much more tasty than a typical battle shounen.

I don’t know any associated lore w/ Blue Archive so I don’t know if her grip strength is like, part of an in-joke here. For me, the only alternative is genAI involvement which, IMO, isn’t impossible but it doesn’t seem to have anything else that jumps out at me as genAI-made. I do see what you mean, tho.

I’m not up on the lingo enough to fully understand what you mean, but as long as you like it… <3

I hope I’m not misreading you as I’m trying to wake up this morning (if so, I’m sorry) but in case you can’t process it, she’s using either a potholder or one of those hand-sized rubber towel things made to help open jars, and that’s what’s covering the lid.

I’ll agree with you that I would never turn the jar sideways while trying to open it, tho.

Every time I look at this I have to zoom in because I think she’s crushed the lid and also that the lid is like 2 sizes too large for the jar.

Feeling this right now b/c I’ve been working since Wednesday.

Maybe? I can only think of a tiny handful but if I were to post them all in one post like this one that wouldn’t be much content.
