  • Thanks, appreciate it.

It could be cognitive bias (because of the words around it), but the girl on the screenshot does look a bit manly to me (but it also can be lighting, angle, makeup, hair, scales and horns; after all those are the tools of drag and I’m not an expert at gendering peeps. Fortunately my native language has gendered names, verbs and nouns so misgendering someone after their first sentence is gramatically improbable)

  • I’ve noticed this on my main page and am here to get educated: what is the meme about?

I’m assuming the meme is about her being male presenting and hit with male pronouns from strangers who assume the gender visually, while the OP would prefer to be addressed by female pronouns (I’m not sure how said strangers should know that though, but that’s not the meme point)?

Or is it a meme about being stuck in the process and however she tries she’s still male presenting for reasons unknown to her?

Nice scientific approach to proving that German sounds angry.

He’s also wrong by saying that people think German is warlike and ugly because of Hitler. German neighbours (e.g. Poles) have written sources hundred years old proving him wrong (at least 1890-ish)

Edit: even older lol, Wincenty Kadłubek was implying that in ~1200

  • Besides that I hate that old “German sounds angry” shit

    I mean:

    1. It’s funny because it’s true
    2. All non-Germany speaking countries have at least 1 joke, where the point is with German language you just don’t know if it’s a new vacuum cleaner brand name, or a declaration of war.

  • All the science says don’t let your cat out.

    Not really, no.

Cat wellbeing doesn’t say that. Cat depression rates in high enriched indoor environments neither. Keeping the cat indoors is like keeping the people forced to stay in home during Covid - it has negative wellbeing consequences.

Pointing at one specific stat and ripping it apart and claiming victory is exactly how we allowed climate change to just slip away for over 60 years now.

What the heck are you talking about? What stat? There are studies that show that the cats kill mostly rodents (Lowes et al.), and that average bird prey is old or sick. The biggest problem with bird population dropping is not invasive cat species, but invasive human species.

Bird loss is a function of habitat shrinking, climat change, pesticides and pollution. Any fix must focus on that instead of a cheap scapegoat. Do you know how I can tell that? Because the birds are dropping world wide (over 66% of bird species are in decline), outside of outdoor cat heavy areas you seem to want to focus on.

Plastic straws didn’t cause the climate change.
