Other security vendors are also monitoring this APT and releasing analyses of its campaigns. The group has remained active through May 2025, consistently targeting Russian companies.
A distinctive feature of this threat is that the attackers favor using legitimate third-party software over developing their own malicious binaries. The malicious functionality of the campaign described in this article is implemented through command files and PowerShell scripts. The attackers establish remote access to the victim’s device, steal credentials, and deploy an XMRig crypto miner in the system.
Our research has uncovered new tools within this APT group’s arsenal, which we will elaborate on in this article.

Sunday’s demonstrations were larger than those on the previous two days, reflecting mounting outrage among broader layers of the population.
The scenes emerging from Los Angeles resemble an active war zone. As during the mass protests following the 2020 police murder of George Floyd, police are indiscriminately firing on protesters, journalists and bystanders alike. Video posted online by on-the-ground reporters shows police and California National Guard soldiers firing “less lethal” rounds at close range, significantly increasing the risk of serious injury.

One problem I see in your way of thought here, adblock use among social media users will never reach 100%.
Furthermore, adblockers are getting weaker with Google Chrome MV3. All of this leads to the logical conclusion in my eyes that you can only change the sources that power users use which will eventually lead to better privacy for all people involved. You will never be able to control people setups to be super private.
