Couldn’t decide between:
“Not with that attitude.”
“Paige, no!”
This is the same principle as behind the social contract of tolerance - intolerance is permitted, but only as a response to intolerance which isn’t being used to defend the tolerant.

Oh, he’s grifted enough from his marks in the last decade that I easily believe he’s a billionaire now. Crypto and stuff especially.

Definitely one of my favorites, and illustrates the point effectively.

“You shouldn’t be, and you’re not.” -Stephen Colbert responding to that very quote

“Hate the sin, love the sinner”, so to speak.

The social contract of tolerance doesn’t extend to those who are intolerant. They are outside the protection of Tolerant Society’s protection, and the Tolerant are free (and, in fact, strongly encouraged) not to tolerate them, because they aren’t covered.

I’d say acre-feet isn’t meant as a unit for general public understanding, but a useful measure for farmers. I have X acres of land, and my crop needs Y feet of rainfall (or it’s equivalent in whatever irrigation) over the season. So I need XY acre-feet of water over that time.
For a farmer who knows their crop area and the water needs of their crops, it would probably serve as a useful and intuitive unit.

Right? Everyone’s talking about MAGA speedrunning the slide to authoritarianism, I just want them to hit the 30 April 1945 any% record.

It’s cause they misunderstood the prefix for foot and got all excited.

In Soviet USsia, USsia exits EU!

Their right wing is trying to crib some (not all) notes from Trump, so I’d imagine those Canadians are the ones who think what Trump is doing is fine.

Verily, verily.

Fucking hell, that chapter is a mess. God says “Hey Joseph, you’re the greatest ever and my one and only priest and whoever you bless, I bless; whoever you curse, I curse. If I sent you a woman, then it’s not adultery to sleep with her, because I gave David and Abraham concubines. And when all is said and done, there’s a rad throne by my side for you in heaven. Also, Emma, you better sleep with him, and not any other men. I sent you to him so that’s all there is to it. You’re the best, Joseph, keep it up, you can do no wrong, because I said so [on the special gold plates no one else should be allowed to see].”

The “Mad Mage”, Halaster Blackcloak, is a specific character from the Forgotten Realms setting. “Undermountain” is a special place that he has surprising control over as it has been slowly created by him over the century/centuries, and its layout both isn’t permanent and isn’t there to serve any given group of people. Monsters and sentients sometimes move in, at their own risk.
The map as shown is meant to represent its existence at whatever point in time the adventuring party happens to arrive at. And Halaster keeps a remote eye on anyone of interest who turns up. GMs are encouraged to modify the presented material in whatever way suits their interests.
The sheet that ghosts wear can move through most things, but not other bedding.
