+1 for Onlyoffice. I tried both it and Libreoffice. Onlyoffice UI is both closer to how MS word looks, and supports word documents better. (Eg text format remains the same in onlyoffice, while in liberoffice it’s flying off the edges. At least in my experience)

Do they? I’ve talked to several NPCs, never happened to me. At most, they get completely confused on what you are saying. Eg, one kid thought he was rich enough to buy a house. Trying to tell him he’s not and he thinks I took his money (and started crying, but also became friends?). In another a guqin player wondered if anyone could tell how sad she was from her playing. Instead, we’re keeping secrets? (No idea how that came about).

And before anyone points out, I dropped the game due to quests requiring MC drinking alcohol (can’t stand games like that. Just a me issue). Sad because I loved the everything else too :(

Seconding Only Office. I had a few docs I needed to print in a hurry, and Libreoffice kept corrupting the fonts/text format. OnlyOffice worked clean.

Honestly, it depends on you, what matters to you more.

For their stance on DRM free and game preservation, Id buy from/support GOG every day of the damn week.

Problem is, that I’m from a third world country, with recent and very high inflation. Dollar is way too expensive here. (With a gov tax on converting the local currency to dollar on top of that 🤮)

So the above + regional pricing means I’m stuck to Steam + piracy.

If budget is tight, I’d say, stick to Steam. Otherwise, go GOG

For me, the peak fishing game was Final Fantasy XV :D

Two menu songs are tied first place for me.

First is the one that plays on the main menu of Final Fantasy 15. Especially when it plays as the main background theme during the end of the game.

The other one is Nier Automata. Deff a whole mood.

Seconding the Amnesia series. The early games are bit dated, but they’re all spooky atmosphere hands down.

I literally stopped playing because the atmosphere got wayyy too much. Felt like I was hyperventilating just walking around

Further reading says its most likely because European Union law 2014/53/EU which imposes new cybersecurity requirements on device manufacturers like Samsung. They must ensure that the devices they sell in Europe block the installation of unauthorized software and only run signed and approved ROMs. . Law was enforced August 01 2025.

Luckily my old phone still works (it is starting to show its age though). Gonna stretch it as long as possible. Hopefully someone will find a hack by then.

I just got Samsung Galaxy A16, and then I learn just how controlling Google/Android is becoming. Research says I SHOULD be able to deGoogle and flash a linux OS custom Android ROM

My question is, as a beginner, which one should I go for? does it have any issues I need to look out for?
