To use the internet was an intentional act. You had to check the time to make sure you weren’t gonna hit some long distance charges, login, and wait for it to connect.

“sorry we’re unable to release him as we’re unsure which facility he’s currently in”

I chose stand development because it’s less stressful and I’m not in a rush. Plus if my shots are off for exposure it usually evens them out quite nicely (I don’t really have to worry too much about pushing or pulling)
In general I recommend stand developing

The film was FPP Mummy 400, the developer was R09 and done via stand development, the camera was a Graflex Speed Graphic 4x5 with a 127mm lens shot at f/4.7.
I’ve been shooting FPP Mummy 400 with my Graflex because it’s a decent amount cheaper than most other 4x5 film I’ve seen and I’m wanting to practice with the camera before I put the expensive film in it (like color film for example). It’s a pretty nice film IMO.
The camera itself could probably use some work still as I seem to get light leaks on some shots but not others which tells me that it’s probably either the film holders themselves of the back velvet. But it’s been a fun repair project I’ve been working on so I can’t complain. The lens and both shutters work great right now but there’s no way to mount a cable release for the body shutter so I’m gonna have to mod it at some point which has me anxious AF about doing even though as far as I can tell my camera has parts from models of speed graphic from between 1928 and 1946. And the range finder on the camera also seems like it may have been aftermarket. It had the mounting hardware for an aftermarket handle but the seller didn’t have the handle for it so I had to restore the original leather handle.

NGL I’d want Canada to annex us.
I’m in the PNW, it’s a fairly common sentiment around here.

You do have a point

I’ve had multiple of my normie friends ask me about linux in the last few months and I even got 2 to switch over. Which blew my mind I got them to.
I think my favorite comment I’ve heard from them since switching is how much it just gets out of their way. It’s there and does the thing and is only there as much as it needs to be.
Medium format is really fun to shoot too! I’ve also got a Lubitel 166b (also a TLR, and a HELLA cheap camera) that I snagged awhile ago and it needed a lot of work too.
The artifacts around the edges of the image here I think might either be some light leaks I still need to fix or from my bodged scanning.
I develop my black and white film myself as it’s WAY cheaper to do it myself, I’m planning to start doing cyanotype prints soon as I think that would be really cool too.
Fixing larger older cameras is really fun IMO, it’s complicated for sure but they’re WAY more simple than newer cameras.
I’ve got 1 more from that trip out there, with large format it’s pretty tough to get a bunch of shots.

One quick hack to make the shareholders happy with how much money you’ve been putting into a failing project: rename a successful one to the failing project’s name.

Edit: I swear it’s not my first day on the internet…
Way ahead of you on this, I’ve been doing this for years!

I feel the “checking watch for next emergency”
I’m just about done paying off my last emergency so I’m right on time for the next big one. Fate seems to wait until I’m spitting distance from paying it off to taunt me or some shit.
The last time I was literally 1 month from having it paid off before BOOM $10k medical emergency and to not become homeless due to said medical emergency combined with being on FMLA for 12 weeks minus a day.
It don’t like like a lot to some but for me it’s been hell.
