You make a good point concerning news about rocks versus “I found a rock” posts. Moving forward, I’ll only post rocks I find. I haven’t been rockhunting in a few months because of weather. I found a small meteorite (confirmed by local uni) last summer, and it’s the highlight of my finds.

I was very close to joining the Peace Corps back in the day. I still like the idea of this wonderful organization. But alas, my wife at the time gave birth to our twin daughters, and everything changed.

I wouldn’t trade my daughters for anything in the world, but I still feel a pull for the Peace Corps. My kids are grown, so maybe I’ll revisit this idea!

This is super interesting to me. My former career was caring for Alzheimer’s patients. And none that I worked with, had a history of obesity.

It’s one of the more horrible diseases, and I hope they find a cure for it.
