I’m with you on that but the price still seems steep to me. Last I heard Sony makes a profit selling the PS5 Pro($750) and the Steam Machine has worse specs (60cu vs 28cu GPU/ 2TB vs 500GB storage).
Personally I was considering getting a Steam Machine over upgrading my PC just to make my life easier. But, not for that much of a premium.
That seems like a niche within a niche to me. The Steam Deck filed a hole in the market, the Steam Machine doesn’t. Like others have mentioned, the price might be reseller pricing vs buying directly from valve.
AFAIK neither does Sony currently.
But why buy the Steam Machine over a PlayStation at that point? Your getting worse performance for twice the money. Isn’t the SM meant to convert console players, most current Steam users already have PCs. Or am I looking at this all wrong?

I feel like this issue is a hug problem in America specificly. People are terrified of letting their kids roam free and I believe its one of the factors that’s led to the rise of anxiety in kids. I’ve never listened to Trueanon but was a fan of Cumtown. There is definitely a layer of ironic/sarcastic saying dumb conservative things as a bit but, they would also address that every now and then by saying things like “If you think we’re actually conservative, you’re a fucking idiot”. The intended audience I had in mind was like edgelord/incel types and tailored my suggestion to that type of person.

Thats just kind of mandatory to be successful in that specific corner of the media. I agree it sucks and I hate that shit to, eventually I just stop watch/reading outlets that do this. But you can’t argue that it gets clicks/views.
I think Trae Young is seen as a losing player that basically has a net negative impact on a team, at least at his current salary. The other players mentioned are seen as additions that will improve your chances of winning.
