I will call it a successful gun ownership if I never have to use it
This describes the overwhelming majority of firearms owners I’ve interacted with, including some with sizable collections and even a police officer on the SWAT team.

“Go ahead, make my day”
That kind of mentality sickens me
The Heller decision would like a word with you
If you’re a good firearm owner, your firearms are secured from unauthorized access. Plenty of ways to achieve that while keeping them readily accessible to the intended user for home defense, especially without children, housemates, or houseguests.

He said he loaded his handgun, went back to the windows and saw the people “thrusting” at the door […]
He fired one shot toward the door […]
When told he had killed Rios, he put his head down on the table and said he didn’t mean for anything to happen to anybody.
The fuck did he think was going to happen when he shot at a door with people on the other side?

Ooooh I get it now. My bad, I failed to assimilate.

Stopped using Facebook over 10 years ago, but I’ve been back lately to check marketplace listings for a few items I’m hunting for.
Every now and then, I’ll autopilot into scrolling the main feed.
Within 60 seconds, there will be some suggested content of AI generated bait.
I’ve also had older family members sending “shocking” generated videos they came across on Facebook / Instagram, believing them to be real.
Not a liberal 🙃
Not chronically online with this account either
You might want to consider alternative interpretations of things people write / say before jumping to conclusions and filling in the blanks from your imagination.
Wow, you got me all figured out from that one sarcastic comment! That’s a supernatural ability you got there!
The hostility is definitely going to work wonders sway people to your cause lmao
A more appropriate caption would probably be something to the tune of “we sure showed the lesser evil”

“It’s like a war zone. There are times I’ve had to have a gas mask on inside my own home,” says a resident near the ICE facility under siege in south Portland.
🙃

Oregon is effectively “stand your ground” by way of not having a duty to retreat law.
Use of deadly force is permitted in response to a felony in progress.
Kidnapping is a felony.
It’s likely a matter of time, and the incident will probably be used to justify further aggression

Hegseth’s speech was met with a relatively muted response from the military brass.
Trump took the stage after him, noting that: “I’ve never walked into a room so silent before.”
Probably because this meeting should could have been an email.

Still part of the caricature.
The notion that firearms ownership is a conservative / MAGA thing is also a farce imo. You don’t even have to go full leftist to find armed progressives.
Ultimately, there’s more to the “prepper” mindset than the catoonified arsenal of weapons for the zombie apocalypse.
Having a deep pantry is prepping. Hell, owning a fire extinguisher is a form of prepping.

“Preppers” are not tied to one set of politics or another.
You’re describing an imagined caricature.
Ever learn about “the shot heard around the world”?
The country was literally born from a rebellion that reached a violent tipping point when the monarchy tried to confiscate/destroy munitions.
The “depiction” you refer to is a caricature. While I’m certain there are people like this out there, this is not what the majority of firearms owners are actually like.
