So yes, libs are fine with all manner of violent solutions in the global South, but would never accept it in America or a Western country. I’m reminded of libs on twitter defending aid being directed to Ukraine but not Africa because African countries were dictatorships. One of my doctors and I were talking about this. He noticed women of color tend to just “get on with it” because this is the system that’s always been oppressing them. Nothing changed under Trump. White women, in contrast, seem more shaken up about it because the sexism they experience was something they could overlook due to white privilege. Trump has made them question this for the first time in their lives.
He has a lot of black women coworkers who don’t freak out every time Trump says something silly. His white coworkers on the other hand? Blowing up on Facebook or the group chat or wanting to call an emergency meeting or what have you.
