    I’d love to see these searches compared to everyday stuff like “laundry how to” or “pizza”. I assume “pizza” is growing slower than “how to leave America”.

      “pizza” is actually shrinking a bit lately. google doesn’t seem to measure “interest” based on the raw number of searches for something, they measure it relative to total search volume for everything. otherwise, you could look at search trends starting 20 years ago and almost every line would show searches skyrocketing as more people use google, yet when i change the data of these generic searches to 2004-present, there’s 0 noticeable trend difference
